    • Discuss your Odoo situation

Start with a clear Odoo plan, not assumptions

Whether you are considering Odoo, improving an existing system or recovering a stalled project, discovery turns your leadership vision into agreed operational and technical priorities. We examine the business reality, identify fit, gaps and risks, and create a practical roadmap before costly commitments are made.

    Discuss a discovery

    Professional leadership team meeting

    When discovery is useful

Discovery is useful when an important Odoo decision needs evidence, shared priorities and a realistic plan.

    Planning a new implementation

You need to understand how Odoo fits your operating model, where standard functionality will work and what must be resolved before committing to implementation.

    Improving an existing system

You know Odoo should deliver more, but the problems, opportunities and order of work are not yet clear enough to begin making changes confidently.

Recovering a difficult or stalled project

You need an independent assessment of what is working, what has gone wrong and which actions will restore control and useful progress.

    What we explore

The scope is tailored to the decision you need to make. We examine enough of the business and system to reach useful, evidence-based conclusions without analysing areas that are not relevant.

    • Leadership direction: What the business is trying to achieve and which decisions or improvements matter most.
    • Operating reality: How work is actually carried out today, including bottlenecks, workarounds and dependencies between teams.
    • People and responsibilities: Who uses the system, who owns important processes and information, and where clarity or capability is missing.
    • Systems, data and integrations: The existing technology, data quality, migration needs and connections that could affect the solution.
    • Odoo fit and gaps: Where standard Odoo meets the requirement, where configuration may be needed and where genuine gaps remain.
    • Priorities, risks and dependencies: What should happen first, what could obstruct progress and which decisions must be made before delivery begins.

    What you leave with

The exact deliverables depend on the agreed scope, but the purpose is always to give your leadership team a clear basis for decisions and action.

    • A clear view of the current situation: What is working, what is causing difficulty and the underlying reasons.
    • Agreed business and system priorities: A practical definition of what matters most and why.
    • An Odoo fit-and-gap assessment: Where standard Odoo fits, where configuration or process change is appropriate and where customisation may be justified.
    • A phased roadmap: A sensible sequence of decisions and work, including important risks, dependencies and early opportunities.
    • A usable written record: The findings and recommendations belong to you and can be used internally, with OpenSys or with another provider.

    How discovery begins

We start with a straightforward conversation about the decision, problem or opportunity you are facing. If discovery is the right next step, we agree its purpose, scope, participants, deliverables and cost before any work begins.

    Questions about discovery

    How long does discovery take?

The timescale depends on the decision being supported, the complexity of the business and the areas that need to be examined. We agree the scope, participants and expected timetable before beginning.

    What does discovery cost?

Discovery is a paid professional engagement. We first understand what you need from it, then provide a clear proposal based on the agreed scope and deliverables.

What will we receive at the end?

The precise outputs are agreed in advance. They will normally include written findings, priorities, an assessment of Odoo fit and gaps, identified risks and recommended next steps or a phased roadmap.

Are we committed to using OpenSys afterwards?

No. The findings and documents produced for you belong to you. You may use them internally, continue with OpenSys or take them to another provider.
